- Professional Grade Wall and Ground Hydrants:
For more than eight decades, Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co. has been focused on offering hydrants that help with job site demands, engineering
specifications, and code requirements. Due to the differences in
construction applications, the type of wall or ground hydrant that is installed and specified, and that performs up to code can vary greatly by
building type. This is why Smith manufactures and distributes hydrants that are suitable for all building applications to include tilt-up construction projects, commercial buildings and professional office buildings.
From our 6 inch round cored hole hydrant box to the 5904 non-freeze sanitary post/yard hydrant, Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co. has the right wall or ground hydrant to meet most all building requirements.

- ASHRAE High Performance Building Design (HBDP) Professional
ASHRAE has incorporated the Virginia Rainwater Harvesting Manual,
developed by Rainwater Management Solutions (our partner in the
Rainwater Harvesting Market) as one of the study guides for obtaining the Certification for High-Performance Building Design.
ASHRAE's High-Performance Building Design Professional (HBDP) certification program uses computer-based examinations to identify individuals who have mastered a body of knowledge covering innovative technologies for energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable designs for new and existing buildings.
Developed with input from the U.S. Green Building Council, Green Building Initiative, Mechanical Contractor Association of America, and Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, ASHRAE's HBDP certification promotes increased understanding and knowledge of how HVAC&R design is integrated into high performance buildings to achieve a sustainable design.
To earn the certification, download and complete the HBDP application form
and read the HBDP Candidate Guidebook. The guidebook contains important information about eligibility requirements and available resources to help prepare for the exam.
Individuals who successfully complete the exam may use the HBDP certification as part of their professional credentials and their names and company affiliations are listed on the ASHRAE website. Give your firm the competitive edge it needs to succeed in today's "Green Building" marketplace.
Click here to learn more or call 1-800-527-4723. Fee for exam: $395, ASHRAE Members: $275.
